Da svidaniya!

Tomorrow is a big day for us…we will be on our way to Alexander! We’ve waited a long time for this to come, and are thrilled that we are finally leaving! In just a few short days we will be holding Alexander again, seeing his beautiful smile and hearing his sweet laugh. It just doesn’t get any better! This really makes me remember being in Krasnoyarsk when we picked Marina up, and the memories are just more precious than words can relay. There truly is nothing more amazing, and we get to do it all again with Alexander. Thank you, God!

Well, we are all packed and ready to fly! We will be checking 5 pieces of luggage and a stroller….totaling over 200 pounds! Whew! The good news is that 2 of those pieces will be left in Russia (and maybe the stroller!), so we’ll come home with less luggage and one more child! :O) Marina has her own backpack for the plane, and it’s packed full! Good thing hers has wheels on it….surely she wouldn’t be able to carry it! We’ll soon see how prepared we are to entertain a 3 year old for over 18 hours in airplanes, plus layovers! HOWEVER, we are still waiting for our passports and visas to arrive, but we’re sure they will be here within the next 2 hours! :O)

So far it sounds like there will be at least 4 other families in Krasnoyarsk with us. Three of them on their 2nd trip and one on their 1st. I’m quite sure there will be more, but it’s nice to know there will be others there. It’s so neat to see these families come together in this way, and we have made some very dear friends during our three previous trips to Russia.

We appreciate your prayers for us during the next 3 ½ weeks and we look forward to reading your comments as we’re traveling. Any news from this side of the world will be greatly appreciated! Good bye for now….we’ll send an update once we get to Moscow!
