We have finally made it to Georgia! The trip went really well again today. It took us just under 7 hours to get here from Lexington, and that is with a stop for lunch and a stop for gas. Not bad! The kids did really, really well in the car again today, but like Mike and I, were happy to finally get here and stretch their legs.
We did a walkthrough of our new house tonight, and for the most part things look really good. There are a lot more marks on the walls and holes to fill than we remember, but that's to be expected. The kids both picked out their rooms and are excited to get moved in, although still really excited to be staying in a hotel for two more nights!
We have closing at 9:00 tomorrow morning and take possession at that time. The moving truck is supposed to arrive at the house at 12:00, so we can start unloading. If we have time between closing and unloading, we have some shopping that we'd like to do. We need to buy a lawnmower and dryer pretty soon so we're not stuck without them for long!
I will try to get some picture posted sometime this week, but can't promise anything! We'll keep you posted!
