Well, we are mostly packed and ready to head south. The movers had a long, tiring 4 days and despite their very best efforts, just could not get all of our treasured belongings into one truck. So, they loaded every inch of the truck that they could, put the rest of our stuff in the garage where a "shuttle" will pick it up on Monday, and pulled out of our driveway at 10:00pm last night (Friday.) They will meet us at the new house at noon on Tuesday.
We were all a bit sad leaving our house last night, but still excited about what's to come for us. This weekend will be extremely difficult as we say goodbye to my side of the family and to all of our dear church family. We will begin our journey south tomorrow afternoon.
Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers. We will miss all of you, but hope to see many of you soon! We haven't scheduled our trips back to Michigan yet, but will have a better idea about when we'll be here once we get Marina's school schedule. And of course, any of you that are interested in meeting Xavier with us in Chicago when he comes home are more than welcome. We'll surely keep you posted!
The next time I post we will probably be somewhere south of Michigan!
