We are still glowing from our great day yesterday. We are anxious to go for our last visit tomorrow before picking Alexander up on Saturday. Just 2 more days…. :O)
Today we are just having a lazy day around the hotel. We will probably spend some time this afternoon, or maybe tomorrow afternoon, getting the room ready for Alexander, shopping for food for him, etc. We just finished moving into a 2-room suite at the hotel today. This will give us more room for the 4 of us and will give us an opportunity to have 2 separate rooms should one child be sleeping and the other not! The room isn’t as nice as the one we just came from, but having the extra room will be really nice.
Nope, not a 10-gallon hat...just Marina modeling her little brother's potty chair! (Luckily it hasn't been used yet!)
I think we’ll head out a little later and do some more shopping and walking. There are a few stores that Joyce would like to go back to and maybe we’ll stop in some of the local clothing and home stores, just to see what it’s like. We also want to find some Russian items to bring home for the kids for their future adoption days.
Two families left this morning with their 3 children, along with 3 other families that were here on their first trip. Two new families flew in this morning for their first trip and there are still 4 families here waiting out our 10 days and waiting to pick up our kiddos. One of the 4 was able to get their daughter early, since she was in an orphanage nearly 4 hours outside of town. They were not able to visit her because of the distance, so now she is here with them while they wait! :O) After Saturday there will be lots of action on the 4th floor of the hotel! Hopefully lots of laughing and playing, but probably lots of tears as well!
Some of the families that were here with us last week. Most of them left today with their children.
