We saw our pediatrician again this morning and really not much has changed. Xavier's breathing is still very labored, which he is concerned about, but his breaths per minute wasn't horrible. His fever is gone....thank God! Our pediatrician is still thinking he has bronchiolitis/pneumonia and wants us to keep him on the antibiotic and steroid that he's currently taking. He hasn't seen much improvement in his breathing with the breathing treatments, so unless his breathing gets worse we don't have to continue with those. Apparently we are not completely out of the woods yet, as hospitalization was tossed around again today. We are hoping he is in the worst of it right now and will be on the mend here very, very quickly. His oxygen level continues to be great (98%) which is what is keeping him at home right now. We appreciate all of your prayers (and thanks SOTH for the prayer request yesterday!) and will continue to keep you updated. He goes back to our pediatrician on Wednesday, unless he gets worse before then.
The Christmas excitement is beginning to build at our house! Oh how I love this time of year! :O) Now I just need all 3 of my little elves to get/stay healthy so we can enjoy every minute of it!
