Adoption Day pictures...

We had another great weekend and greatly enjoyed celebrating Marina’s adoption day! She opened her gifts on Friday afternoon before dinner. We bought her a Language Littles Doll that speaks English and Russian, and it just so happens that Anna (the Russian doll) is dressed like a ballerina! Marina loved it and has carried it around with her ever since opening it! Both of the kids also received kickboards from Grandma and Grandpa M. for using at the beach the next day!

After dinner we celebrated with Marina’s chocolate overload cake! She loved it! And after cake we all sat down and enjoyed reminiscing as we watched the video that we took while we were in Russia for Marina’s adoption. It brought back so many wonderful memories and reminded us of the special bond we have with a city and people half a world away.

On Saturday morning we packed up and headed to the beach and enjoyed the time we spent there. The weather was great, the water was warm and we all had fun! Much to Marina’s delight, there were also a lot of butterflies at the beach, so she divided her time between swimming, playing in the sand and catching butterflies in her bucket! It was so much fun!

I still can’t believe that Marina has been home for 3 years already! But, I guess the old saying is true…..time flies when you’re having fun…….and fun we are certainly having!! :O) What a blessing Marina truly is!
