Happy Adoption Day, Alexander!!!

Three years ago today, this was us. We were standing outside of the court building in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, smiling from ear to ear after being blessed with a son. The people in this picture with us are the orphanage director, our facilitator and our translator. That was THREE years ago. Wow!

I could not write a post energetic enough to describe the impact Alexander has had on our family. He is one big bundle of energy all wrapped up with enough love for everyone on this Earth. I never have to wonder where Alexander is, because I can always hear him….singing, laughing, etc. He loves sitting in our laps to snuggle and always has hugs and kisses to give. He brings a smile to everyone's face, whether they know him or not. He also has a deep affection for his big sister, although not always apparent in their interaction.

We have been incredibly blessed to have Alexander as our son. God knew just what He was doing when he placed him in our family and we know without a doubt that Alexander was truly created to be a part of us.

Marina has a soccer game this morning, and then Alexander has chosen to spend his Adoption Day in Atlanta this afternoon. We are going to spend some time splashing in the fountains at Centennial Olympic Park followed by the Children's Museum. We also have a gift for him from Russia and an ice cream cake that he chose. We are all excited to share this special day with him. Not a day goes by that I do not thank God for the gift of Alexander.

Alexander, we love you so deeply and are honored to be your mommy and daddy. Thank you for being such a light in our lives. We hope you enjoy your special day, bud! We love you!!!
