We had a great visit from Mike's aunt and uncle on Wednesday and Thursday this week. They had been in Florida for the past 2 months and stopped here for a night on their way back home to Michigan. It was great to see them and hear about their fun in Florida. We hope next time they will be able to stay longer!We also have another visitor now for the next 10 days. Marina was the "lucky" one that got to bring home their classroom pet for spring break. Meet Chalupa the chinchilla...
So far she seems to be a really good pet. All 3 kids are very excited to have her here, as well as a few other members of our household....
Marina is officially on spring break now and that excites me to no end! I am so excited to have her home with us this week and my main goal for her....to catch up on some sleep! She was just plain worn out this week and I think a week off of school will do her some good! We are toying around with the idea of taking a road trip to the ocean on Friday and Saturday for some good ol' fun in the sun, but we'll have to see what the weather is up to. So far, it's not looking good! It's 76 degrees and sunny here today, but by Monday we will only have temps in the 40's. Guess I can't complain too much!Some adoptive friends of ours are leaving tomorrow to go to Ethiopia to pick up their new son. We are absolutely thrilled for them and cannot wait to see pictures of them all together. Please keep them in your prayers as they make this amazing journey. Thanks!!
I hope you all have a wonderful week. We will spend a lot of time focusing on Holy Week and all of the significance that goes along with that. We are looking forward to a glorious Easter Sunday!
