Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! We hope that you enjoyed your day as much as we did! As you can imagine, the kids both woke up ready to dress in their costumes and hit the streets! I’m sure it was such a long day for them, but they both did really well! The anticipation was even greater since Mike was in Germany this week and coming home today. He always gets the “rock star” greeting when he gets home from his business trips…and he loves it!!! So as soon as he walked in the door this afternoon they knew it was “time!” Oh, and for those that didn’t know before now…..Marina chose to be Tinkerbell and Alexander chose to be a cowboy!

The kids walked their little legs off through the subdivision across the street tonight. We loaded up the wagon with coats, mittens, rain boots, blankets and umbrellas and headed out. They both walked the majority of the time until the very end when we were all wet and tired. They were both troopers and hung in there for a long time. They came home with pumpkin baskets full of candy and smiles on their faces. I think tonight was just as much fun as either of them was hoping it would be!

Here are a few more pictures from this past week. We spent an evening at the pumpkin patch last week picking out the perfect pumpkins. The kids each picked theirs out completely on their own and I was surprised at how well they did! We had fun carving the pumpkins on Saturday before Mike left for Germany and while Mike’s brother, Mark was here for the weekend. Uncle Mark “helped” Alexander carve his pumpkin while I “helped” Marina with hers. It was really fun!
