Marina woke up this morning with a smile on her face and an extra spring in her step. Today was her special day at preschool…..her first one of the new school year! We’ve been talking about it for a week, so she has enough time to decide what snack and drink she’d like to take, what she’ll take for show and tell and what she’ll have her friends guess in the mystery sack. These are not easy decisions for my 4 year old to make!!! Well, she chose chocolate chip/M&M cookies and water for her snack, her soft, fuzzy pink bear for show and tell and the little horse from one of her Polly Pocket sets for the mystery sack. She had a smile on her face all morning at school and just enjoyed her day immensely! And to make it even better, the Disney princess Halloween book she had ordered through the first book order at her preschool came in today….just in time for her special day! This evening we are going over to my parents’ house to help them get their house ready to sell. It’s exciting for me, since I’m excited to have them move over to this side of the state! Plus, my aunt and uncle, grandma and great aunt and cousin will be joining us, which means we’re bound to have good time!
On Monday I finally get to go back to the doctor to have my stitches taken out. But before that, I will be joining Marina’s preschool class on a fieldtrip to a local farm where the kids will get to do a hayride, corn maze, have donuts and cider and pick out a pumpkin to bring home! Bring on fall!!!
