We were able to give away one of the kitty’s last Thursday. The woman that came to pick up the kitty chose the gray one, which left the black one, which happened to be Marina’s favorite. She has poured her heart and soul into this little kitten over the past week and has showered it with more love than I thought possible. The conversations she has with this little thing are absolutely hysterical and very, very sweet. She is totally in love! Since this is obviously going to be Marina’s kitty, we’ve allowed her to think about and choose a name for him. Well, she has chosen…….Scrunchy! :O) Not a name either Mike or I would have picked, but how can we tell her to choose again???? She is so excited!!! So, Scrunchy the 10 week old black cat it is!
We have not yet allowed the dogs to meet the kitten face to face yet, but will probably do that soon. I’m not really sure how any of them will react, so I need to be sure to do this when Mike is home, in case things don’t go so well!!! We are hoping with a little bit of time the three of them will become great friends. One can hope, right???!!!

Well, aside from all this kitty business, we went camping again last weekend. We, again, had a great trip! This was an annual camping trip with friends, and there were 7 families this year. It was really hot again this past weekend, but we spent a lot of time in the water and did okay staying cool. We were really grateful that Alexander is able to swim now! The kids really enjoyed the weekend and are excited to go camping again in a week and a half.
There’s not much news around here besides that. Marina finished up both her swimming and dance class last week, so we are a little less busy now. We have one more week of storytime at the library for the summer. It’s hard to believe that the summer is going so, so quickly. I just can’t believe that it’s August already! Wow! We hope you are all enjoying your summer!

Well, Mr. Softee you caved in. Big surprise. Two dogs and a cat have learned to peacefully, most times, co-exist at Matt and Diana's so good luck to you on that. Love to all.
I think Scrunchy is a beautiful name! It's funny how a cute little smile can make you change your convictions. Enjoy the new kitty and good luck at introducing the dogs to him. We have a new kitty that showed up outside our house the other day. The only difference is that this kitty is going to STAY outside. We already have two inside. Jael has been taking it food and water every morning and it seems to be living in our woodsie area next to our driveway. It's a girl and it looks quite thin. We are hoping it doesn't have kittens in there! Take care.
