The adventures of Schnabel

Welcome to the adventures of Schnabel.  Schnabel is a parakeet.  An origami parakeet that Marina made to send along with Mike on his recent trip to Germany.  She snuck him in Mike's suitcase and sent them on their way.  Mike arrived in Germany early Sunday morning and sent Marina an email thanking her for the parakeet.  Marina's response back to Mike was, "What did you name him?"  In true Mike fashion, he fired back his response:  Schnabel ~ the German word for "beak."  And so, Schnabel was born.  Since then, we have been getting daily updates on Schnabel and all of his grand adventures in Germany this week.  Marina has loved every one of these pictures and giggles every time we receive one of them.  It has been much too fun to keep to ourselves, so I've decided to share them with you.  You should feel extremely lucky!  :O)  So, here are the adventures to date, and I will add more as they come in!  

Days 1 ~ 3,  Sunday, Monday and Tuesday

 Silly Schnabel. Almost got me kicked out of breakfast, thought the muslix was a bird feeder.

We got here early, so Schnabel got to visit the Audi Forum in Neckarsulm. Note him on the hood of the $200,000 R8. Unfortunately, he pooped on it and we got kicked out.

Schnabel is no longer content to just ride, he now insists on shifting gears for Bob.

Heading through central, eastern Germany, got a bit of snow, it's very pretty, but very cold. Schnabel is not real happy, as parakeets are native to much more tropical climates.
